A Contemporary Revival of a Century-Old Assam Tea Café - The Tea Story
Brief
This project involved the transformation of a historic Assam-type bungalow into a modern yet culturally rooted tea café, blending heritage, sustainability, and contemporary aesthetics. The redesign aimed to enhance the space’s functionality while respecting its history, using natural materials, artisanal elements, and handcrafted art pieces to create an inviting and immersive experience.

The redesign of Tea Story successfully bridges the gap between the past and present, offering a heritage-rich yet contemporary space for tea lovers. The space now tells a story of legacy, craftsmanship, and artistic expression, ensuring that the essence of Assam’s tea culture is preserved while making it relevant for today’s audience.
